About the job 

OLYX is looking for a full-time Data Scientist to join our dynamic and innovative Data Team. As part of a fast-growing company, our Data Team plays a key role in driving the flow of information within and beyond OLYX. In our team, you will collaborate closely with a small group of enthusiastic talents, leveraging your analytical skills and creativity to extract valuable insights from data and inspire impactful business decisions.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide actionable insights to support business strategy and decision making through advanced data analytics, reporting, and visualization.
• Own the design and delivery of data science solutions for brokers and other stakeholders to enhance market intelligence for the business.
• Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and business analysts to integrate data analytical tools into software products.

 

About you: 

• Fluent in English
• 1- 3 years experience in a Data Scientist role
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with data science libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, and Matplotlib.
• Proven experience with data analysis workflows, including data loading, cleaning, transformation, and visualization.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), designing queries for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control (Git), use of development environments, and working within agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Bonus points for knowledge of the product design process and translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Bonus points for applied understanding of machine learning algorithms, model building, and evaluation  processes to solve real-world business problems.
