About the job

We are looking for a full-time broker for the German market to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating and optimizing transactions among a diverse portfolio of clients.

It will require a deep understanding of the complex biofuel landscape, identifying opportunities, negotiating transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Commercial Mind: Strong business sense with a solid understanding of commercial principles, market dynamics, and strategic thinking, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and make data-informed decisions that drive business growth.
• Market Analysis: Keeping informed about the latest developments in the German and European biofuel market, including regulatory changes, pricing trends, and project development opportunities.
• Client Engagement: Establishing and nurturing client relationships, while thoroughly understanding their requirements within the biofuel supply chain. Offering optionality and up-to-date market insights to clients, with a deep understanding of the variables that impact their domestic market, but also the international arbitrage opportunities that we map out in collaboration with the other desks within OLYX.

 

About you

• Mother tongue German and fluent in English
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or related fields
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Sales/Trading is required; experience in the biofuel industry is preferred
• Self-starter, stress-tolerant, assertive, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial
• Capable of understanding and navigating complex market landscapes
• Great commercial attitude – deal closer mentality
